Olufunke is a Partner at the Firm with over a decade of experience. She is a trusted advisor to domestic and multinational companies with respect to a variety of corporate, governance & regulatory matters. Her practice areas cover aspects of business structuring, family governance & leadership succession, regulatory compliance with special emphasis on corporate governance, investment advisory (M&A, PE & VC investment).
She is an experienced business integrity, compliance, corporate governance expert and has assisted in establishing corporate governance structures. She engages with her clients and provides support to them in resolving any business compliance and regulatory issues in respect of business set up and operations of businesses in Nigeria.
Olufunke also has experience and industry knowledge in working with families and business owning families to address the multi-generational and governance issues they face.
With her excellent communication and leadership skills, Olufunke has coordinated and led multiple teams in the provision of legal due diligence investigations for corporates in M&A, private equity and fund-raising transactions including advising on regulatory compliance. She also advises companies in distress on corporate rescue mechanisms for their business. She has provided advise in corporate restructuring deals in the FMCG, financial services, technology, media & entertainment & agricultural sectors.
Olufunke is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and has experience in Commercial Arbitration and Mediation. She has served as both Counsel and Registrar in Arbitration proceedings. She also currently leads the team of The Legacy Haus, the Firm’s Multifamily office business arm.
